New commercial MOT bay waiting room
Users of our bus, coach and lorry MOT testing facility in Swindon can now wait for their vehicle in the comfort of our new reception room.
We recently invited traffic commissioner for the west of England, Kevin Rooney, to officially launch the newly-refurbished lounge at our depot in Barnfield Road.
“We have been welcoming large vehicles for testing here at our site for some time - but our customers previously had nowhere comfortable to wait,” said Swindon’s Bus Company managing director, Andrew Wickham.
“This was less than ideal, so we invested in the conversion of an old tyre store room and turned it into this impressive reception area for those visiting our Authorised Testing Facility. We feel this will enhance the whole customer experience - making it better and easier for all concerned.
“Those who carry out the tests here are part of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) team, so we were delighted to welcome traffic commissioner Kevin Rooney for our special launch.”
Kevin Rooney added: “This is an excellent addition to this outstanding testing facility. Owners of a wide range of large and heavy goods vehicles - as well as buses and coaches - come here on a regular basis. Testing is a mandatory and crucial process, ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy. Waiting for a test to be carried out can be tedious - so having access to a comfortable reception area is a real bonus.
