Coronation weekend services

Bus timetables announced for the Coronation of His Majesty The King

We will be following a Sunday timetable on all services on Monday 08 May 2023 for the Bank Holiday Monday.

Our website and app have been updated to show this. If the service doesn't usually operate on a Sunday, there will be no service on this day.

We know many people living in-and-around Swindon are planning to spend time with others in the region - with communities coming together to celebrate this historic event.

There are street parties and other events planned across the city over the course of the Bank Holiday weekend, with many hospitality businesses also getting involved in the festivities.

Whatever your plans, it’s the perfect time to leave the car at home and let us transport you to your events. With so many expected to be out-and-about, travelling by bus means not worrying about where to park, and it’s also an opportunity to enjoy a celebratory tipple.

Don't forget, you can still travel on any single journey on our buses for £2 or less, as part of the government’s fare cap scheme, which has been extended until the end of June. You can also use any payment method - including tap on, tap off contactless, the app, and cash.

The best way to plan your bus journeys, during this very special Bank Holiday weekend, is via our app. It offers great features - including being able to track buses in live times in our journey planning section.

Swindon's Bus Company would like to wish His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort a wonderful Coronation. We hope you all enjoy the special occasion!
