Outstanding performance as Toby King scoops our top award

Bus driver Toby King is celebrating after being named our employee of the year at Swindon's Bus Company.

Toby received a wave of nominations from customers praising his exceptional service.

“Over the past year, we have received numerous commendations from those travelling with Toby,” said Swindon’s Bus Company managing director, Ed Wills.

“One customer said they were rushing to catch the 6.20am bus from the Orbital when Toby spotted them, waited, and greeted them warmly. He then ensured they were safely before departing. This customer observed him treating every passenger with the same, friendly, smile and courteous manner.

“This is just one example. Customers have repeatedly described him as happy, polite, kind, friendly, funny lively and truly professional. His impact extends beyond the passengers too. Tony is a driver mentor - and regularly receives excellent feedback from the trainee drivers he supports.

“I’d like to congratulate Toby and wish him another successful year ahead.”

In recognition of his efforts, Toby received £1000  worth of vouchers and a framed certificate.
