Single fares & Dayriders
Swindon’s Bus Company single fares from 1 January 2025
The Government’s £2 single fare cap is ending as of 31 December 2024. The new single fare cap will be £3.
Good News! Some single fares will be less than £3. Adult single fares will either be £2.20, £2.70 or £3.00 max. from 1 January 2025. If you are making at least two trips in one day, a Dayrider offers great value as it gives you unlimited travel within the fare zone you are travelling in. Our Dayrider for our urban fare zone is just £4.80 and a Dayrider Plus is £6 if purchased on our app or via tap on tap off.
If you pay for your tickets on the bus, we recommend you use tap on/ tap off, but don’t forget to use the same contactless payment card each time you travel. Find out more about tap on tap off.
If you still prefer to buy a paper ticket from the driver a Dayrider will cost £5.00 and a Dayrider Plus is £6.00 - you can pay by cash or contactless bank card.

DayRider tickets
If you only need to use our services, DayRider tickets are cheaper on the Swindon Bus app
DayRider tickets, give unlimited travel on all Swindon Bus and Stagecoach buses within the Swindon urban area (inner and outer zones) for the whole day.
DayRiderPlus tickets, give unlimited travel on all Swindon Bus and Stagecoach buses within Swindon and to and from Royal Wootton Bassett, Purton, Cricklade, Highworth, South Marston, Wanborough, Liddington, Foxhill, Chiseldon and Draycot Foliat.
EveningRider tickets are valid for unlimited travel after 6pm on all Swindon Bus and Stagecoach buses in the inner, outer and plus zones.

If you travel fairly frequently but not on consecutive days our bundles of DayRider tickets are ideal, available in bundles of 6 days worth of travel. These are available on our app or on the bus.

Wiltshire Day Rover
One days travel throughout Wiltshire on many operators' buses. Also includes service 51/51A/52 from Swindon to Cirencester and service S6 from Swindon to Oxford.
