Young persons' travel pass now available on our app!

Young people in Swindon can now download bus travel passes directly from our app - to be used across both ours and the Stagecoach network, thanks to an agreement we have made with them.
The move means that tickets for young people between 5 and 19 can be downloaded and bought - previously available as a smart card - directly on either of our apps, and this will provide unlimited travel on all buses within the Swindon urban area (inner and outer zones) for periods of one week or four weeks or the Swindon Plus Area.
“We were conscious that the previous smartcards were based on older technology, and were becoming unreliable, so we have worked with Stagecoach to give our younger customers what they need on the phones - in the same way that we have previously done for adults,” said Swindon’s Bus Company general manager, Andrew Sherrington.
“Now they can buy their tickets on either app and use them across either bus operator’s network. The new system also means that parents can buy the passes on our website and gift them to their child’s phone. Our app provides a more efficient and effective way to pay for bus travel - but it offers so much more besides this."
Buying your tickets on the app is the easiest and most convenient way to travel with us. Our app can also be used for journey planning, live bus tracking, live bus times, and customers can customise it to reflect their favourite stops and trips. In essence, you can hold all tickets and timetables in the palm of their hands - giving you total control of their journeys.
Download our app today and start using your phone as your ticket. These passes will automatically be valid for travel on our services and Stagecoach journeys once activated.
The Young Persons Travel Pass can be used within Swindon, and to-and-from Royal Wootton Bassett, Purton, Cricklade, Highworth, South Marston, Wanborough, Fox-hill, Chiseldon and Draycot Foliat. It can also be used on Pulhams services.
